A Pennsylvania State Police trooper was charged in a fiery crash that killed a woman in north central Pennsylvania, the state attorney general announced on Monday.
The Pennsylvania State Trooper involved in a crash that killed a Troy School District teacher earlier this year is on "administrative duty" while an investigation is underway.

2 Officers were awarded the Law Enforcement Officer Of The Year award Today by the Centre County District Attorney’s office.
One of those was Detective Stephen Bozak from the State College Police Department.
Bozak has been a detective for 31 years and is known for his leadership, hard work, compassion and caring demeanor.
Detective Bozak says he’s fortunate enough to work for a department that supports him and his work.
The other receipient was Trooper Michael Brown from the Pennsylvania State Police who was recognized for his work in a case that led to a first degree murder conviction.
A veteran detective whose investigation led to the arrest of an alleged serial rapist and a state trooper who has been involved in some of the county’s most serious cases in recent years were honored on Tuesday as Centre County’s Law Enforcement Officers of the Year.
Deputy District Attorney Sean McGraw presented the awards to State College Detective Stephen Bosak and Rockview state police Trooper Michael Brown during a ceremony at the courthouse in Bellefonte.
Instituted by District Attorney Bernie Cantorna in 2019, the award has been given to two officers each of the pastthree years. Following nominations submitted by the public and law enforcement community, a committee selected from among four final nominees. The other two nominees this year were State College Sgt. Martin Hanes and Penn State University Police Detective Andrew Stager, both of whom were recognized for their investigative work.
