NORTHAMPTON A Charlemont man suspected of robbing a King Street bank in broad daylight Thursday was arraigned and pleaded not guilty to a charge of armed and masked robbery on Friday morning.
In a teleconference, Northampton District Court Judge Maureen Walsh ordered David W. Jones Jr., 38, held without the right to bail in advance of a dangerous hearing scheduled for March 3.
Jones is accused of stealing an undisclosed amount of money from the People’s United Bank on King Street late Thursday morning, then fleeing the scene in a pick-up truck.
