The MDI Trojans Softball Team swept Presque Isle winning 10-1 and 9-7 on Monday afternoon, April 22nd in Bar Harbor. The games were postponed from Saturday, April 20th.
The MDI Trojans Softball Team was quite possibly the last team to open their 2023 season. It was worth the wait, for the Trojan faithful as they beat the John Bapst Crusaders 12-3 on Friday, April 28th in Bar Harbor.
For the 1st time in what seems like forever the MDI Trojans Softball Team beat the Ellsworth Eagles in both games during the regular season. On Wednesday, June 1st the Trojans beat the Eagles 3-2 in Bar Harbor. They had won the previous match-up 3-2 in Ellsworth on May 20th.
The MDI Trojans Softball Team batted around in the 3rd inning scoring 5 runs and again in the 5th inning scoring 7 runs in beating the Brewer Witches 12-0 in a 5-inning (10-run ruled) game in Brewer on Saturday, May 7th.
