LARNED – A Larned man charged in connection with the shooting of two people in Burdett last December entered a plea in the case on Wednesday.
Under a plea agreement, Thomas R. “Tre” Jones, III, 22, pleaded guilty to two counts of intentional aggravated battery with a firearm resulting in great bodily harm, according to a release from Pawnee County Attorney Douglas McNett.
As part of the deal, the state dismissed seven other counts.
McNett advised Pawnee County District Judge Gatterman that evidence would show that during the earlier morning hours of Dec. 11, 2020, Jones, Tristian Scott, 18, and two juveniles traveled to Burdett intending to rob an individual the group perceived had wronged them.
