The Alberta Chambers of Commerce called on the provincial government last week to safely reopen closed businesses.
After Premier Jason Kenney announced on Jan. 7 that the current COVID-19 restrictions would remain in place until Jan. 21, the Alberta Chambers of Commerce (ACC) released a statement on Jan. 11.

ACC President Ken Kobly stated that businesses across the province have been forced to endure months of shutdowns and were then asked to extend the time they couldn’t remain open. As of Jan. 18, some businesses were able to reopen their doors with current health measures in place. However, Kobly remarked that the situation was not sustainable, and that the government and industry should come together to find ways to reopen businesses safely.
