What began as a simple idea for a playground came to life through the vision, dedication and passion of people in the Brookwood community and the educational system.
When the ribbon was cut for the new playground for pre-kindergarten students in a unique class at Brookwood High School, it was the culmination of the vision that began one year earlier.
Brookwood High Assistant Principal Tripp Marshall wanted a pre-K classroom at his school. When he met Paul Magner from the Brookwood community and shared the ideas with him, Magner helped make the vision reality.
“I told him the vision for having a pre-K classroom at the high school, how we could use it in all of our career tech classes,” Marshall said. “We could build a teacher and training program where we can start organically developing our own students here into the type of teacher we would want to have at Brookwood High School.
