Triple M Sydney’s Mornings presenter Chris ‘Becko’ Beckhouse is no longer with the network.
Beckhouse has been with Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) for over two decades in on-air and producing roles spanning Brisbane’s B105, Perth’s 92.9 and Melbourne’s Fox FM. He joined Tripe M in Sydney in September 2009 and until recently was the program manager and Mornings announcer.
Radio Today understands a short email went out to Triple M staff on Friday detailing Beckhouse’s departure.
An SCA spokesperson responded to
Radio Today’s queries with a statement:
“After 22 years with SCA, Chris Beckhouse has resigned from his gig of Mornings Announcer on the Triple M Network – we wish him all the best on an exciting new phase in his career.
Lawrence Mooney apologises to Triple M for lockdown breach
Triple M Sydney Breakfast host Lawrence Mooney has admitted he acted like “the King Cock of Cock Island” in breaching the NSW public health order and holidaying in Byron Bay.
This morning, he addressed the controversy on air and said he knows he can’t act like the rules don’t apply to him.
“I’d like to apologise to the Triple M family for acting like King Cock of Cock Island,” he said.
He also apologised to NSW Police for “wasting resources, in having them rock around to my joint to hear my story and then issue a notice”.
