A fire, the cause of which is still undetermined, burned down the playground in July. Since September, the nonprofit Partners of Parks has been fundraising to buy new equipment.
Only $340,000 has been raised to replace Admiral Kidd Park's playground, which burned down in July. The goal is to raise $1 million to fund a new structure.
