All employees who had contact with the one positive case have been tested and received COVID negative results, a news release from the Trinidad Rancheria states. Seascape Restaurant has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected by an independent cleaning company following CDC guidelines. The outbreak traced back to the Eureka the Pentecostal Church congregation is driving a surge in local infections and hospitalizations, with health officials saying last week that offshoot cases were continuing to show up.

The Trinidad Rancheria Tribal Government is pleased to announce that Seascape Restaurant will reopen on Tuesday, May 4, 2021! All Seascape employees have been tested for COVID- 19 and quarantined or isolated as needed based on current CDC Guidelines. While a single known positive case of COVID-19 was present at the Seascape Restaurant, the staff consistently practiced CDC-recommended COVID-19 procedures. Out of an abundance of caution, the Tribe closed the restaurant and worked closely with Humboldt County Public Health on contact tracing and testing to ensure that there were no known cases of COVID-19 transmitted at the Seascape restaurant.

Restaurant HAS NOT had a COVID-19 outbreak. Rather, a single individual who was
present at the restaurant the week of April 18th was affected by the outbreak reported by
the Humboldt County Public Health Alert:
Out of an abundance of caution for our tribal members, employees, customers, and the
community, Trinidad Rancheria closed the restaurant to disinfect it and ensure that none of
our staff tests positive before reopening. Seascape Staff have been proud to remain open
to serve you throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic by closely following all CDC and OSHA

members, employees, customers, and the community that the Seascape
Restaurant was affected by a COVID-19 “super-spreader” event in
Humboldt County the week of April 18th. As a result, the Seascape
Restaurant is closed until further notice.
Employees
and guests who visited the restaurant between April 19th and April
23rd should be tested and follow CDC recommend precaution.
The restaurant has been disinfected and will reopen as soon as staff
have tested negative for COVID-19.
