Autopsy: Johnitty was strangled Ligature strangulation.
That’s how plant operator Ryan Johnitty was killed, according to an autopsy performed yesterday at the Forensic Science Centre, Port-of-Spain. Johnitty, 33, was found on Tuesday on a staircase inside his home by his parents. A white plastic bag was over his head, a cord and belt were tied around his neck and there was also a wound to his neck.
Employed at Trinidad Generation Unlimited, Johnitty had worked the 7 am to 7 pm shift on Monday.

Members of the public with information on the murder of plant operator Ryan Johnitty are being asked to contact the police.
Superintendent Roger Alexander made the request during TV 6’s Beyond The Tape programme last evening.
“We are asking members of the public as to the reason. Also, as to who would want to take this man’s life. He was a young man in his prime. He had a mind that few has around this time, most others are selfish. But not him. So probably we have to change up the game plan.”

Last week, plant operator Ryan Johnitty send out an open invitation via Facebook to people in need of food to reach out to him.
He had already helped two people and was working on other hampers when his life was taken. His parents found his body on the staircase inside his Palm Drive, Dow Village, South Oropouche home shortly after 7 pm on Monday. A bag white plastic bag was over his head, a cord and belt were tied around his neck and there was also a wound to his neck.
