Regional standout duo Trinadora (Janel Nelson and Ron Holm) provides the music for a Katie's gala Cinco de Mayo benefit celebration. Doors open at 6pm, and the event runs from 7pm to 9pm. <br/><br/>This year we feature choreographed performances by Francie's Dancers in addition to the Trinadora potpourri of Mexican and Latin-influenced songs. Janel and Ron select from over a dozen instruments to self-accompany their vocals, and they always keep a strong rhythm and bass line for dancing. Floor space for dancing will be provided. <br/><br/>On this special day, Katie's menu will include a one-of-a-kind chili blend, Mexican coffee, and other unique entrées. <br/><br/>The donation for admission is only $5, although larger amounts are appreciated to further the mission of Katie's coffee bar, a nonprofit community treasure. The concert will feature some of glorious music that has anchored the Christian faith tradition for the past 300 years, as well as original compositions and songs for the Christmas season. The duo selects from keyboard, guitar, fiddle, ocarina, concertina, bass, lap steel, jSax, and other instruments to self-accompany our vocals. Some of songs evoke group singing, and the audience will have and opportunity to "make a joyful noise". There is no admission charge. A free-will offering will occur during the concert.
