Senator Sherwin Gatchalian on Friday faulted local government units and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) over the delayed release of the fuel subsidy for over 617,000 tricycle drivers in the country, saying the delay was due to inaccurate names submitted by these agencies to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
A total of 617,806 qualified tricycle drivers nationwide are now set to receive their fuel cash subsidy, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said on Tuesday.

Ano said the fuel subsidy will be disbursed by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) either through the beneficiaries' e-wallet accounts or branches of the Landbank of the Philippines, or off-site payout by the local government units (LGUs).
