Some Alberta government employees have been underpaid or not paid at all by their new payroll system.
Graeme McElheran, a spokesperson for Service Alberta, said to date they have received 531 reports of payroll issues.

However, Susan Slade, vice-president of the Alberta Union of Provincial Employee (AUPE), said the union believes there could be around 5,000 employees who have been underpaid by 1GX, a new system implemented by the government in December. She said the new system was rushed through and put in place before it was ready.
