Political parties and candidates in Bhubaneswar are focusing on affordable housing complexes to garner support from slum dwellers. Candidates are promising residents a better future and highlighting their commitment to welfare. The shift to new housing projects has given slum dwellers access to basic amenities and a chance to live a dignified life.
Tribhuwan Adhikari, MD and CEO, said that the housing finance company would want its affordable housing book to grow to around 20-25% from the existing 10-12% in three-four years.
