Trial Date Set for Sheridan Man Charged With Three Counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor
Cody Knode pleaded “not guilty” to three counts of Third Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor at an arraignment hearing in District Court Thursday. The alleged crimes occurred between November 1, 2020, and January 4 of this year. District Court Judge John Fenn scheduled a three-day jury trial to begin on Monday, November 29, and set the pretrial conference for November 2 at 9 am.
Knode was sentenced last month to 1 ½ to 2 years in prison for the charge of Felony Taking a Controlled Substance Into Jail for attempting to take methamphetamine into the Sheridan County Detention Center on January 11. Knode was sent to jail because he had his probation revoked for several failed drug tests through Sheridan County Probation and Parole. He was convicted of Felony Strangulation of a Household Member in February of 2019 and sentenced to 3 to 5 years in prison, which was suspended in lieu of supervised probati
