Trans-Bridge Lines, Inc. marks its 80th anniversary this month, capping off what the family owned company called a bittersweet year.
Trans-Bridge founder A.J. Ferraro started working in the bus business in 1917, and worked for various companies in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.
In 1941, Ferraro and his family took over the New Jersey Interurban Coach Company and created Trans-Bridge Lines Inc.
Trans-Bridge has been family-owned and -operated since 1941, and is in its third generation of ownership and fourth generation of management.
