Yevgeny Prigozhin is the leader of the Wagner Group, a Russian mercenary outfit operating influence missions across the globe. He previously fought in Ukraine on behalf of the Russian Armed Forces before staging a mutiny against the Kremlin on June 24, after which he and his main fighters were exiled to Belarus.
The Federal Security Service (FSB), the Russian agency that succeeded the KGB, carried out extensive raids of hundreds of Wagner-affiliated properties and offices as the company s chief, Yevgeny Prigozhin, was orchestrating his march on Moscow last Saturday.
