the chairman of the oversight committee, reads to mr. comey comments he made in an interview with our colleague nicolle wallace a few weeks ago when he was talking about the circumstances surrounding the effort with flynn in the early days when he said, usually in an administration that was more organized you would coordinate an interview with a senior official like mr. flynn through the white house counsel s office but in this case he thought he could get away with just sending a couple agents over. so trey gotti pressed him on this issue, tried to discuss whether or not it was being handled inappropriately or not. he defended it saying first the deputy director called and told him he was welcome to have counsel present during that interview, that he was given that option. secondly, this is perhaps the most relevant, he said he was an extraordinarily experienced person so reasonably should understand and be assumed to understand you cannot lie to the fbi. in other words, the idea that
roiling washington now, and obviously a source of great consternation on capitol hill, these revelations about the staff secretary. a very high-ranking white house aide, somebody who had access to every piece of paper that crossed the president s desk. it s now emerging not only that there were credible domestic violence allegations against rob porter, that the white house was aware of while he was in this senior role, allegations he denies, but also those allegations were sufficient to deny him a security clearance. as a member of the oversight committee what exactly are your concerns here? what do you think should happen next j one of the biggest concerns i have rachel is a deliberate conspiracy, if you can put it that way, between the republicans in the house, especially on our committee, and the white house to make sure nothing is investigated, nothing is pursued. no subpoenas are issued. now, we are now chaired by trey gotti, who was the torqua motta of benghazi. his hand got tire
hillary is not a wonderful perp as far as i m concerned. she promised me personally a lot of things when i was in washington she never came through and said anything on. she never got back to me. all she ever did was tell me i was not a member of the immediate family. i don t think that s very nice to be talking about a mother that way. but she instructed her department not to tell me anything. so i am very much waiting for this investigation of benghazi for trey gotti to find out what happened because hillary has not come back to me and told me that. nobody has. the only thing i hear is from the guards the security guards that were there at the time. and of course there s no way to replace or repair your loss. so i understand, of course, the anger you may feel against the former secretary of state. but when it comes to trying to find the answers as to what actually happened, it seems

failure ofommunication between the state department, the pentagon and libya. hicks confirmed forces were available in tripoli, but were told to stand down before they could mount a rescue effort. we determined that we needed to send a second team from tripoli to secure the airport for the withdrawal of our personnel from benghazi after the mortar attack. but were any of these u.s. military personnel not permitted to travel on a rescue mission or relief mission to benghazi? they were not authorized to travel. what happened with those personnel? they remained in tripoli with us. we also learned hicks was never contacted by u.n. ambassador susan rice before she went on five separate sunday morning talk shows to deliver what turned out to be false talking points on the protest sparked by an anti-islam video. hicks said everyone on the ground that day was aware from the get-go, as he put it, that it was a terrorist attack. so fast-forward, mr. hicks, to the sunday ta
