The Minsi Trails Boy Scouts Council executive board voted to sell the 755-acre Trexler Scout Reservation to the Trexler Veterans Initiative for $7.8 million.
Some of the top Lehigh Valley-area stories last week included a lawsuit brought against Lehigh County by a former inmate and parking issues in Allentown appear to be quieting down.
Camp Trexler will be handed over to the Trexler Veterans Initiative and Valor on Oct. 1 after the summer camping season concludes. It has served as a summer camp for more than 90 years.
Camp Trexler, which is being sold by the Minsi Trail Council, has drawn about 10 bidders, including the Pocono Heritage Land Trust and the company formerly known as Waste Management.
