ADRIAN When Family Video announced it would close all its stores last month, it dealt one more blow to the video rental industry and those who still rent hard copies of movies.
Local libraries could find themselves filling this void.
Librarians say it s too early to tell if the end of Family Video will result in more people checking out movies from libraries. However, library DVD rentals are already popular.
DVDs accounted for 26% of total circulated items last year at the Adrian District Library. In 2019, that number was even higher at 29%.
