Brea Coggin and Georgia Potter at Truro Crown Court for charges

By Court reporter The hearing of Georgia Potter and Brea Coggin was held at Truro Crown Court Two women accused of assisting the men jailed for the murder of Aaron Pill in Falmouth last year have appeared in court to answer charges. Brea Coggin, aged 22 of Avalon Close, Mylor Bridge, and Georgia Potter, aged 51 of Meadowbank, Mylor Bridge, appeared before Truro Crown Court this morning where two charges were put before each of them. The first charge was of assisting an offender, in that between May 3, 2020 and May 9, 2020, without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, they facilitated transport to move Liam Bastow and Kane Coggin, and their clothing, away from a crime scene and gave false statements to police in relation to their movements.

Truro Crown Court halts trials after Covid cases confirmed

Cases at Crown Court A PLEA and directions hearing for two women accused of assisting the men jailed for the murder of Aaron Pill is the latest victim of the coronavirus pandemic. Brea Coggin, aged 22 of Avalon Close, Mylor Bridge, and Georgia Potter, aged 50 of Meadowbank, Mylor Bridge, were both due to appear at Truro Crown Court on January 11 for a plea and directions hearing, but the case has now moved to January 22 because one of the women is isolating due to coronavirus. However, it is not clear whether this date will go ahead after two members of staff at Truro Crown Court also tested positive for coronavirus and have to isolate. A judge has requested a temporary pause on new trials for a week although it says cases will continue to be heard.
