Local food banks, like all charitable groups are working double time to get ready for the holidays and for winter.
During the pandemic, people have shown a lot of generosity to Gleaners Food Bank, The Tri-County Warehouse, the Brighton Fare Share, and Trenton Care and Share Food Bank.
Al Teal manages the Trenton Food Bank, and says they are planning for the tough times ahead.
“We’re preparing for when government grants and all the money that government has been giving out, when it is gone, people are going to be finding it hard. Then there are people out there who will not be going back to jobs, people are going to be on unemployment. They don’t need to go hungry.”
