Fortuna woman accused of threatening officials out of jail

Judge Kelly Neel also issued a protective order for several of the threatened parties: District Attorney Stacey Eads, former District Attorney Maggie Fleming, District Attorney Investigator Martin Morris, 2nd District Supervisor Michelle Bushnell, 1st District Supervisor Rex Bohn, former Sheriff Mike Downey, Sheriff William Honsal, Fortuna Police Chief Casey Day, her former attorney Kathleen Bryson and DANCO owner Dan Johnson. In the misdemeanor criminal complaint filed against her, Aunna Bollmann is accused of threatening to kill Bohn, Fleming and Honsal.

Matthew Susmilch, who is accused of killing 47-year-old Anthony Calderone on State Route 36 near mile marker 43, may receive a trial, ruled Judge Christopher Wilson. However, Wilson noted that there are several compelling theories about what happened the day Calderone died, including an argument from Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo that Susmilch was acting in self-defense.
