Prescott Bush was one of seven directors of Union Banking Corp., a New York investment bank owned by a bank controlled by the Thyssen family, according to recently declassified National Archives documents reviewed by the Associated Press.
Fritz Thyssen was an early financial supporter of Hitler, whose National Socialist German Workers’ Party (Nazi) Mr. Thyssen believed was preferable to communism. The documents do not show any evidence that Mr. Bush directly aided that effort. His position with Union Banking never was a political issue for Prescott Bush, who was elected to the Senate from Connecticut in 1952.
first, hold people accountable, general kelly, fire him. maybe don mcgahn but then replace them with strong women. then there are staff positions he s never filled, an office in the white house on violence against women, never fulfilleded it. there s an office in the state department, ambassador at large for women s issues, never filled it and office in the justice department violence against women, never filled it. you have a press event with five new women you re bringing on to your team, you have completely changed the discussion and he needs to get out in front of this with actions not just communications. trent duffy, communicate him out of this today. paul brings up a scenario here, which could happen, i suppose, a public event in an hour right now. what does he say? he signed legislation dealing with sexual abuse against women unironically this afternoon. what does he do? he has to own up the fact that this was completely botched
the president had an alleged wife beater at the very, very highest level. there s no evidence the president knew, so i m not ready to scribe knowledge to him at all but there is no doubt that the fbi told the white house. christopher wray testified under oath about that. it wasn t like one of the choch. and this is awful for two reasons, first off, you had an alleged wife beater in the white house and also that person was subject to blackmail every minute he was handling classify d information, our nation s most trusted secrets. he was subject to blackmail. he had to go immediately and whoever was covering up for him and protecting him, they have to go to because it s dereliction of duty, they have to put protecting country and the president ahead of some guy because he s a good staff guy. it is interesting, trent. i know to an extent you think a lot of this is beltway drama. but obviously i also think there
