Salute to Veteran’s Night

Spencer, IA (KICD) The Clay County Fair Speedway is gearing up for what is expected to be the biggest race of the season Wednesday night with the “Salute to Veterans” night.
Track Promoter Trent Chinn says all veterans will admitted free, as well as a $20 gift card and gift bag. With the excessive heat expected, the evening will start a half-hour later, with hot-laps at 7:30pm and racing to follow.
In edition tonight – there will be special pre-race activities beginning at 4pm – that includes a free meal for all veterans, a Fan-Zone with LIVE music and patriotic themed race cars. There’s also added purse money in all the features.
Clay County Fair Speedway To Continue Operations In Upcoming Season

(Spencer) The Clay County Fair Speedway has announced some of its plans for the upcoming 2021 season. It s also announcing a partnership between the Fair Association and Trent Chinn Promotions for the upcoming season.
The speedway will host six nights of racing in 2021, including two nights during the fair.
A âSalute To Veteransâ race is scheduled for July 28
th.
Clay County Fair General Manager Jeremy Parsons says the fact the Speedway was able to operate at a profit in 2020 is the only reason it s going to continue in 2021. He says he s confident that success will continue into the coming season.
