Co-owner of Cotton Tree Meats Luke Dunn said his butchers were busier than ever during the 2020 festive season.
âWe will go close to selling 14 tonnes of ham in the next week just because people come to us, they know we have been doing it for so long and they make the effort to make the trip,â Mr Dunn said. Cotton Tree Meats owner Luke Dunn pictured in his familyâs Cotton Tree store. Picture: Patrick Woods.
Owner of Buddâs Butcher Ben Budd said it wasnât just ham that was flying of the shelves.
âWe are probably doing about three tonnes of ham, but turkey has been a good seller this year as well as your traditional pork roast,â he said.
Cotton Tree Meats co-owner Luke Dunn was excited to hear the good news. It s very exciting, we have a lot of passion and love for what we do and it s something that is voted by the locals of the Sunshine Coast, he said. To be able to take what my father took 30 years building and growing and for myself and my two brothers to be built on that business and to make the brand stronger and bigger is pretty exciting.
