Bureau of Land Management seeks public comments on direct sale of public land in San Juan County

Bureau of Land Management seeks public comments on direct sale of public land in San Juan County FARMINGTON, N.M. – The Bureau of Land Management Farmington Field Office is seeking public comment on the conveyance of a 19.5-acre parcel of public land 14 miles north of Aztec, NM to Linn and Treciafaye Blancett. The BLM was directed in the Carl Levin and Howard P. “Buck” McKeon National Defense Authorization Act of 2015 to convey the parcel.   As part of the conveyance process, the BLM has determined that the parcel would be offered through a non-competitive direct sale to Linn and Treciafaye Blancett at not less than the appraised fair market value. The 45-day public comment period ends June 14, 2021. The Environmental Assessment is posted on the BLM’s ePlanning website at: https://eplanning.blm.gov/eplanning-ui/project/1502058/510.
