Sedalia 200 Board Receives Governance Award
Only 13 districts in the state earned the recognition.
According to MSBA, the award signifies “outstanding commitment to ongoing professional development, regional and statewide leadership, and active participation in legislative advocacy for public schools demonstrated by (the) school board and superintendent.
The board includes President Diana Nichols, Vice President Scott Gardner, Treasurer Kenny Coffelt, Secretary Barbara Schrader and directors Michael Stees, Matthew Herren and Sam Kempton; past board president Dr. Jeff Sharp, who retired in April after more than 20 years of service, also was recognized.
