Warmer weather this winter and a lack of snow have helped the city’s snow removal budget.
City Treasurer Charlotte Edie says they are under budget through the first 11 months of last year.
“2020 is a better year for that expenditure than 2019,” explain Edie.
“We have 29 per cent of the budget remaining as of the end of November and we’ll probably be in good shape by year-end.”
In the meantime, city crews will be working to clear snow banks along Valley Drive
over the next two days.
Snow removal is scheduled to take place from Houghton Road to Airport Road.
