The world will be the classroom for several Meredosia-Chambersburg students in a few weeks.
Tracy Lawson addressed the school board about a trip that at least seven junior high and high school students will be taking to Washington, D.C., with the group World Classrooms.
Lawson and history teacher Travis Sievers will be accompanying the students as chaperones. The students paid for the trip themselves and will leave from St. Louis at 6:30 a.m. June 1, returning on June 4. The students will get to visit many historical and educational places while in the nation’s capital, including the World War II Memorial, Capitol Hill, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery.
