College athletes NIL rights: Des Moines Register examines sea change

College sports is about to undergo a sea change as old restrictions fall away and star athletes begin to cash in on the use of their name, image and likeness. But beyond knowing that big changes lie ahead, the only real certainty is uncertainty, Iowa State columnist Randy Peterson explains in a column peppered with quotes like everything is going to be gray,  and something should have been in place a long time ago.
