Gov. Ron DeSantis and his cabinet recognized a Florida Highway Patrol trooper with a top award for his efforts in ending a dangerous vehicle chase that began in Citrus County.
State and Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) leaders on Tuesday, Dec. 15, named Trooper Curtis Vaughn as the FHP Trooper of the Year via the passing of a resolution.

âTrooper Vaughn displayed outstanding gallantry in the apprehension of a suspect committing a criminal act,â FHP Director Col.
