Efforts to build a Marion County Community Center got a recent shot in the arm with a $25,000 donation to purchase land for the facility. On a recent episode of
Baxter Regional Medical Center representatives Wednesday officially announced the launch of a campaign aimed at raising funds to renovate the hospital’s 5-South wing, which houses patients post surgery.
Hospital officials Wednesday also announced that the BRMC Auxiliary would serve as the campaign’s lead donor, contributing $700,000 towards the target goal of $1.7 million for the renovations. Since the Baxter Regional volunteer auxiliary was formed in 1962, its members have given more than $7.5 million to help meet the needs of the hospital.
Travis Doshier, chairman of the Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, also announced Wednesday that the board would support the 5-South renovation with its own donation of $175,000. The Foundation was formed in 1988 and provides ongoing funding and support for BRMC.
