AUSTIN, Texas - A mass drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinic was hosted Saturday at Circuit of the Americas, the result of a collaboration of four counties, Travis, Hays, Bastrop, and Caldwell.
3,000 vaccines were set to be distributed. As cars came in, people waited in line, drove through, and got their shot. Then, they waited for 15 minutes in a separate parking lot to make sure they didn t have any reaction.

AUSTIN, Texas - Travis County will be opening a new mass vaccination site at Circuit of the Americas this week.
The site will focus on vaccinating teachers and school staff in four counties in the area.
The plan was unanimously approved by Travis County commissioners Tuesday. The site is expected to open this week with 3,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine that have been provided by the state.

People who lost water this week were invited to fill up containers at the Brewtorium on Friday.
The entire city of Austin either had low water pressure or no running water at all as of Friday, a map released by Austin Water showed.

Shelters used to house people during freezing temperatures earlier this week are now passing out a couple of bottles of water per person to tide people over until larger distributions are underway.
