Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) When the pandemic turned the world upside down, a group of parkour enthusiasts-friends had to temporarily bid goodbye to the concrete jungles of the city.
But like the physical activity they love where rooftops become launching pads, handrails double as high wires, and balconies become balance beams these modern ninjas bounced back and even found a way to give back to the community.
“Ano nga pala, ‘yung sa Mission Ride, isang may i-do-donate, tinatanong paano nagsimula ‘yun,” Raven Cruz, a parkour coach told his friends via video call. Mission Ride refers to the charity drive they formed to help those in need during the pandemic and other times of calamity.
