European Travel Retail Confederation (ETRC) President Nigel Keal has warned industry stakeholders that regulatory challenges facing the likes of tobacco, confectionery and alcohol have not been sidelined by legislators due to the health crisis.
In an opening address at the ETRC Annual Business Forum today (20 January), Keal called for greater collaboration within industry circles to address pressing threats to the future of the DF&TR sector.
“Duty free and travel retail has faced a considerable number of regulatory and political challenges. Covid has not made these threats disappear; quite the contrary, and ETRC will continue defending the channel against threats relating to product categories and the shop environment.
