Fireballs streaking across the sky in late March set off an epic hunt for the space junk that hit Earth with a boom in one case metres from a Washington state trailer home with an older couple inside.
The fiery re-entry of the remains of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket into Earth s atmosphere on March 25 created a light show that was captured on video by people from Oregon to British Columbia.

Though most Australian states have allowed quarantine-free visits from New Zealand residents since late last year, New Zealand had enforced isolation for arrivals from its neighbour, citing concerns about sporadic virus outbreaks there. The astounding late spring-like warmth seen across the Prairies in recent days is all but a memory with the weekend coming to an end. A potent cold continues to wipe away the mild temperatures Sunday as it slumps southward. In addition to plummeting temperatures by as much as 20 degrees in Calgary in a 24-hour period a burst of heavy snowfall and gusty northerly winds will trek through. It s no secret that noise can be disruptive to animals and humans, but a new study has found that it can also prevent forests from growing.
The area that was examined has many natural gas wells, some that are quiet while others have compressors that make a consistent commotion. This allowed the researchers to compare sites that were alike other than the noise level.
