Airbnb plans to raise the guest service fee for cross-currency bookings to drive growth in international markets. Starting April 1, guests will be charged an additional fee of up to 2% if they pay in a different currency. This will bring the guest service fee to a maximum of 16.5% of the subtotal.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) announced provisional whole-year visitor arrivals of 34 million in 2023, with four million visiting in December. The Mainland remained the largest visitor source market, while Southeast Asian markets recovered quickly. Visitor arrivals from the Philippines and Thailand in December exceeded pre-pandemic levels.
The Delhi High Court has observed that pendency of a vigilance inquiry cannot be an impediment for an individual to travel abroad. Justice Subramonium Prasad made the observation while granting relief.
