Takeout and fresh snow leading to more trash in San Diego mountain towns
The increased number of visitors enjoying the fresh snow are all ordering takeout, and even with extra trash cans in Julian, there s still more trash than the town can handle.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KGTV) - Locals in San Diego mountain towns are used to the crowds that arrive whenever there is fresh snow. Locals say they expect the traffic and trash that comes with it, but this year, there is a new layer of mess added in.
âWhatâs happened there is with the restaurants only providing take out service, take out is a lot more trash than dine-in,â said Robin Boland, Executive Director of the Julian Chamber of Commerce.
