By Mike Leischner Fire. MWC file photo. ATHENS, WI (WSAU) —  A structure fire closed a portion of Highway 75 in Marathon County Sunday afternoon. According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Traffic Incident Alert system the fire was reported just afer 12 noon between Schlegel Street and Alfred Streets, blocking both the north and southbound lanes. The road remained closed until just before 4 PM. No further information was immedeatly released. It’s unclear what kind of structure was burning and the extend of the damage.
