Metro Vancouver residents cut public transit rides by 49 per cent and took 12 per cent less car trips compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a new transportation survey.
The survey, conducted by Mustel Group for the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, also found other types of car trips declined, including ride-sharing services (six per cent) and car-sharing services (nine per cent).

Active transportation, such as bike trips, rose by 30 per cent. Another 30 per cent of those surveyed reported no change in their transportation habits.
