An innovative system called 'Spatio-Temporal Traffic Data Reporting for Smart City Services' developed by an associate professor at IIT (BHU) Varanasi and a PhD student in South Korea has been granted a patent. This system gathers, analyzes, and disseminates real-time traffic data to provide accurate traffic information. It utilizes traffic sensors and crowdsourced data to generate insights and offers services like traffic diversion and optimal traffic light timing deployment.
