The pedestrian safety study was conducted after Jacksonville State University student Leah Tarvin was struck and killed by a car in November 2022 while crossing Alabama 21 near Brewer Hall.
A project to extend a river walk along the Little Schuylkill River in Tamaqua has received a $424,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
