A family dinner at Dennyâs ended with a woman being arrested for assaulting an officer and disorderly conduct on Feb. 28, after she became upset that city police officers got their food before she did.
Española City Police Officers Cody Lattin, Adrian Montoya and Monica Salazar went to the restaurant on North Riverside Drive at 9 p.m., to have dinner. When the food was brought to their table, the officers heard a woman sitting at a nearby table begin to make statements in a âloud, boisterous manner.â
The woman, later identified as Maria Torres-Jaquez, 27, of Española, said, âthatâs (expletive, expletive) that they get their food before we do,â Lattinâs report said. âThey think that because they are officers they get the (expletive) right to eat before us.â
