Police revive man after performing CPR - Merrylands

Date Time Police revive man after performing CPR – Merrylands Police have been praised for their quick actions in performing CPR on a member of the public. About 5:15pm yesterday (Wednesday 24 February 2021), emergency services were called to Newman Street, Merrylands, following reports a man had collapsed on the street. Officers from the Police Transport Command, Transport Action Group, North West were nearby and responded within a few minutes. When police arrived on scene the 40-year-old man was found to be purple in colour, unconscious and not breathing. Officers have immediately commenced CPR for over 10 minutes. As a result, the man commenced displaying signs of life. Police continued first aid until the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics who assisted the man in regaining consciousness.
