Mona Shtaya is the Campaigns and Partnerships Manager (MENA) and Corporate Engagement Lead at Digital Actions. She is also a non-resident fellow at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy (TIMEP) focusing on surveillance and digital rights in the MENA region. Palestinian organization “Aman – Transparency Palestine” demands that PA PM Shtayyeh “forms an investigation committee to scrutinize the process of vaccine distribution, to hold to account those who violated the distribution principles, and to publish Covid19 vaccination plan.”
“Available information and observations indicate that many persons have been vaccinated, in breach of the prioritization criteria.”
“The [vaccination] process is conducted within a framework of cronyism and contacts, giving priority to personal interests at the expense of public interest.”
