The KeyBank Foundation announced it s making a $1.5 million grant to The MetroHealth System to eliminate potential barriers to health and well-being for underserved populations and to expand the reach of the system s Institute for H.O.P.E. (Health, Opportunity, Partnership, Empowerment).
The gift is part of KeyBank s $40 billion National Community Benefits Plan, which invests in lower-income communities through small business loans, mortgages and other programs.
Chris Gorman, chairman and CEO of KeyBank parent company KeyCorp (NYSE: KEY), said in a statement that the bank is proud to partner with MetroHealth to address the root causes of health issues and to improve access to the resources that will help citizens live healthier lives.
