A Winnipeg city councillor has apologized after getting into hot water for a comment that he made about cycling advocates in a committee meeting this week.
The Crown is seeking a total sentence of seven years for a man who pleaded guilty to impaired driving causing death and failing to stop at the scene in a May 2022 collision in Transcona.
Tyler Scott Goodman, 29, pleaded guilty Monday to impaired driving causing death and failing to remain at the scene of a collision that killed Jordyn Reimer, 24, in Transcona on May 1, 2022. Goodman's mom, Laurie Lynn Goodman, pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice.
