BUFFALO, N.Y. A historical music hall in the City of Buffalo will close its doors at the end of the month.
The Tralf will shutdown so that residential space can be built.
According to a post on the Tralf’s Facebook page, the music hall’s lease is up, and the closure will end a 15-year run the 600 block of Main Street.
But lately, he has had cause to wonder.
âI think I speak for many when I say that this pandemic has certainly made me feel nonessential in many ways,â said Holtzman, the partner and manager of the club in the shadow of Keybank Center downtown. âI completely understand that we are facing a global crisis and many industries have their back up against the wall, but thatâs no excuse for the federal and state government to stand by and play with our lives like itâs all a game of chess.
For people like Holtzman and venues like Iron Works, each day that slips away brings more worry that the end for their business could come before the end of the pandemic. And the clock keeps ticking.
