sugar laying on the ground, motionless. that s when she says ron pace, the dog trainer, jumped into action. i had her move her hand, so i could see the rib cage and i noticed the dog was not breathing. so i went in to try to resuscitate it. ron owns canyon crest dog training center in tacoma and has been training dogs for 35 years. i wanted to get him through the seizure and my goal was to protect her. it stopped breathing for 2 minutes. you can see that ron began c.p.r., cleared the airway, gave chest compressions and a rescue breath. sugar s chest begins to rise and fall. she s breathing. that s when the dog began breathing on his own. big breath in. that a boy, sugar. he saved my dog.
